Plant Source—Reseda

Reseda (Scientific Name: Reseda odorata L.) is a plant in the Resedaceae family. It grows naturally in the wild without human intervention. To spread its seeds further, the plant's fruit splits open when ripe, propelling the seeds like bullets, sometimes landing several meters away. The seed dispersal produces a thunder-like sound. The flower clusters are orderly, with small, mostly orange or yellow flowers, and a delicate fragrance similar to autumn osmanthus. It is occasionally cultivated in Taiwan and other areas as an aromatic ornamental plant, used as potted plants, cut flowers, or for garden beds. Pharmacologically, it has anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-allergic, and immune-regulating properties.
